alterations is an instrumental piece based on the highly gradual adjustments of a single and individually chosen sound, within the restraints of a given structure of reiteration, density and textural progress. Instrumentation of the piece is open.
The spatialised ensemble progresses through a prose score that has been put in a subdivided timeframe beforehand. It provides them the general directives to establish a form development for what is essentially a multiple of soloists interpretations of the same piece; collective boundaries for individual actions.
The piece is, again, an attempt to sculpt a slowly phasing instrumental field, tracing spatial connections between individual performers.
